Sel holds degrees from the University of California (B.A., Psychology), Endicott College (M.Ed., International Education), Alliant International University (M.A., Counseling Psychology), and Brown University (A.M./Ph.D. - A.B.D. - Theatre Arts & Performance Studies). Sel specializes in working with teens, young adults, bilingual, BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ communities, those moving through life transitions, first-generation university students, graduate students, academics, artists, writers, multicultural and interracial families and partnerships, and transcultural adoption.

Rooted in Systems Therapy and Liberation Psychology and deeply informed by Narrative, Solutions-Focused, and Brief Therapies, Sel creates bespoke mindfulness-based therapeutic interventions based on the premise that clients hold the tools to their own freedom. The process begins with a complimentary 15-minute session to determine whether this is the appropriate process for this leg of your wellness journey. Next steps include assessing which goal(s) to attend to, frequency of sessions, and the duration of the first leg of your therapeutic process. In addition to addressing current concerns, this unique short-term approach is designed to deepen your ability to tend to your long-term mental health.
